Bye-bye Ricky

Heat free agent Ricky Davis signed a multi-year deal with the L.A. Clippers Monday, officially ending his second stint with Miami. The veteran swingman became expendable following the Heat's free agent signing of former University of Miami standout James Jones earlier this month.

Davis, 28, averaged 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season, and was the only Heat player to appear in all 82 games.

In before all the badmouthing begins... Good pick-up for the Clips. They need to shore up at SG, although I wonder how this will affect Eric Gordon? You'd think he'd would have been getting big minutes seeing how Cuttino Mobley was their only other prominent SG. Now he'll be fighting it out with Mobley and Ricky for minutes. It's of no consequence to the Heat given that we have D-Wade, D. Cook, James Jones, Shawn Marion, and probably Dorell Wright on the wing.

I'm happy for Ricky. To bad it didn't work his second time around Good luck to him.

I'm glad he's gone he was a ball hog

He is what he is, a stat guy on bad teams. doesn't make him a bad guy though. Can you believe the Pistons gave Kwame 9 million for two years? They must be out of their minds. Its getting down to the dregs of free agency now. I'm still pulling for Arroyo and Elson Guys that could probably be had on the cheap and could contribute.

RICKY DAVIS.....WAS SUPPOSE TO PLAY "DWAYNE WADE" FOR A FEW WEEKS TILL THE REAL D-WADE RETURNED LAST SEASON! LOL 4 THAT! HE'S A GOOD BALLER...BUT HE IS CANCER ON EVERY TEAM HE TOUCHES....ALONG WITH MARK BLOUNT! WHO KNOWS....,MAYBE PAT WILL GIVE PENNY HARDWAY ANOTHER SHOT??? LMAO!

good riddance to bad rubbish. look out for the clips with the smush parker & ricky davis backcourt. and i don't mean look out for the basketball team, i mean don't end up in that hotel when they visit miami

Thank you Clippers! Take him

yes thank you clippers take him!

lets go HEAT!!!!!!!

You have to give him respect for playing all 82 games.

But he just wasn't very good. And we gave up a future 1st to get him.

One of the worst trades in Heat history, to be sure.
