Fallout from Shaq ripping the Heat?

0325shaqautosized258By now you've probably heard about Shaq's verbal attack of the Heat, which in recent days has included critical comments about Pat Riley, Chris Quinn, Ricky Davis and the medical staff in articles published in Sports Illustrated and the Boston Globe.

1. If you were the Heat, would you retire Shaq's jersey?

2. How do you view his legacy with the Heat now?

You've got to be kidding? Retire his jersey? Where's Israel?

1. Not!

2. Tainted

I would not retire his jersey.

How can you honor someone like that who's so publicly insulted both your medical staff and current members of the team?

My memories of Shaq's tenure with the Heat are mostly positive. We dominated the league for two years a title along the way. It was a fun filled run, and Shaq was a big part of it.

Shaq isn't a bad person. He has a lot of positive personality traits.

However, he'll be remembered as someone who quit on us as soon as the going got tough.

He's so obsessed with protecting his own image that he's been willing to throw good people under the bus to prop himself up.

He will NOT be remembered as a stand up guy.

*And won a title along the way

c'mon, how quickly we forget. the guy helped win us a title. who cares what he says now.

Thank you Shaq for bringing the title to MIA.

Shaq's funny. And it's fun when players rip on each other and are honest about mocking other guys who aren't as good. It creates rivalries and fun storylines.

Shaq is just mad that his wife left his 7 ft butt for a Cuban from Miami. Chris Quinn has more class in 1 finger than Shaq will ever dream of having. This just proves the true colors the guy has. We got what we needed and good ridance. Alonzo is the only big man whos jersey should be retired. He is twice the man Shaq is and means more to Miami than Shaq will ever have met.

Yeah, Zo also left us when the going got tough. After being patient (both the HEAT nad FANS) with his medical condition and transplant during a two year tenure, we accepted this fate with much pride. Then, the moment he got medical clearance to play again, he left the team that dedicated ourselves to his recovery, to earn a measly million dollars more to play in Jersey.

The BEST big man we've ever had, in terms of quality on and off the court, was Rony Seikaly.

Zo wasnt making 20 mil

Retire Shaq's jersey? NO! How about we just stick with retiring someone else's jersey, someone whose heart and loyalty helped bring us the championship: Retire Zo's jersey.

This is Shaq at his best. It's always someone elses fault never his. He totaly disassociates himself from loosing. It could never be his fault.

He is Pathetic at best. It's a disappointment to see anyone like him. He will never grow up, he is as selfish as selfish can be.

I think he immature which is probably why his wife cheated on him. He is bitter and he not the 20pts,10 rbs player he once was and never did anything to change his game like fix the free throw problem. We won the ship because of Wade, through out the finals I waited for him to step up and he never did! Glad he is gone, he was dead weight and cannever hold Kareem's prestige.

Events Leading to the FALL OUT.
- Shaq was traded to the Suns. He thanks Pat Riley and Heat owner Micky for giving him a chance to get more Championship Rings in his Press Conference in Phoenix.
- Next, Old Bill Walton criticize Shaq on ESPN for Faking his Injuries to avoid playing with a losing Miami Heat team.
- Shaq in another Interview was asking where were Bill Walton's comments coming from?.
- Then Shaq, in an Interview again with one Sports Magazine reveals that Heat Medical Staff thinks he was Faking his Injuries.

So, looking on these FACTS , who do you think really started this UGLY FALL OUT?

Shaq will be remembered for the championship he helped bring to Miami, but the childish attitude he displays when things don't go his way shows a little selfishness on his part. Lets just hope this doesn't turn into another character bashing issue like what was going on between he and Kobe.

I think it was a classless poor judgement call on the part of Mr. Shaq..... I really do, I honestly think he only had 2 good years with the HEAT, otherwise I cant see doing too much as far as retiring his jersey, but hey they might heck, dont know and dont care
