That's more like it
Seriously, how can you not root against that effort the Heat put out there against the Celtics?
Anybody who appreciates basketball should be offended with what they saw. Seriously -- and I'm being serious here -- you'll see better defense if you come to my Monday night pick-up games than what you saw from the Heat in the first half.
It's amazing how James Posey can get in position to take a charge in a split second's time, leaving his man entirely to commit to taking the hit, while on the other end of the floor Rajon Rondo starts his drive at damn near halfcourt, and he finds absolutely no resistance until he's about three inches from the basket. I mean, that's just EMBARRASSING, and anyone participating in that debacle should be embarrassed.
It was clear Dwyane was fed up with some of the stuff he was witnessing, like Earl Barron trying to take three Celtics off dribble and, predictably, getting stripped rather than giving up the ball to an open teammate. That open teammate happened to be Dwyane Wade, who is a fairly decent option.
While watching that "game" I pretty much decided I'm going to purchase the ESPN Gameplan so I can watch as many Kansas State and Memphis games as I can. You know, try to get the early scouting report on potential Heat rookies.
(On a side note, whatever happened to DJ Irie at games? First we get fill-ins like some guy named M-Dot, and now we get Dale, mayor of Uptown, doing all the talking? What the hell?!?!? I thought he was the No. 1 DJ in the NBA.)

Hi
You nailed it - scout those 2 rooks!!!That is what this season is all about.
This game was awful for a heat fan - but just keep thinking about the draft choice. When I saw the celtics injury issues - i was worried this meant a Heat win. Thankfully, the Heat didnt show up. It would be nice to watch great games where the Heat lose barely at the end - but thats not what we got tonite.
After watching this debacle, Dwade should just take some time out and rehab is knee.

I think Riley should get rid of all these players. Seriously, what was that a display of how many players truly do not belong in the NBA? D-Wade, the man. Shaq... miss the Diesel. Haslem- keeper. J-will... must have. Blount - can be promising. Everyone else is utter and pure trash. I will forever be a heat fan, because of Shaq and D-wade. But this has to be the straw that broke the camels back... Utterly DISAPPOINTED!

So where are all the shaq haters? I guess this loss is his fault also. Now, we can see the real problem that nobody on the team can move there feet and play defense. To get beat by 30 points is just down right awful, the heat are worse than the knicks. They should trash the whole roster besides shaq and wade this year is a rap, bring in oj mayo that would be a good back court him and d-wade, plus oj plays good defense

Still wont root for them to lose!

Chise, you don't get it do you? People don't hate Shaq, they hate his 20 mill/year contract. We have a bunch of scrubs that can't play basketball because of salary cap problems. Speaking of Shaq, where was he tonight? The answer is that he was missing another one of the 40 games that he will miss this season.

Why would you root for them to lose? Miami's record in the draft lottery has not been so good.
You assume they could get a Rose or Beasley?

At least Pat riley still has a sense of humor. Did you hear the one about maybe still making the play-offs?
It was hilarious.

I told ya'll yesterday and i'm going say it again if you watched that game last night. There is ONLY ONE man ON THE WHOLE DAMN ROSTER who can beat his man off the dribble and it's Wade. Unless your point guard can set up the team, drive and kick it out to open teamates that were CREATED FROM DRIBBLE PENETRATION THIS TEAM WILL LOSE BADLY. We just need to focus on the draft and make sure that we get THAT point guard DERRICK ROSE from Memphis. check him on youtube. J Will is on his last legs and last year of his contract. So we have to upgrade our point play for next year or this will continue next year. look at how Utah made the smooth transition after Stockton cause they drafted Deron Williams cause Atlanta was too stupid to draft him same with the Hornets they took Chris Paul and now they have one of the best records in the west. The Hornets don't really have that great of a team if you take out Chris Paul. If ATLANTA that year would have taken Paul, Deron Williams, or even Raymond Felton instead of Marvin Williams ( who they didn't need cause they have tons of Forwards ) they would have been winning big by now especially with Joe Johnson in the same back court. Don't let this happen to us Pat Riley. We are going in the lottery anyway. It's already being set up for it so lets just make the right choice and get DERRICK ROSE. We need our point guard of the future and he is in the draft. There's even OJ MAYO ( whom i'd rather not get ) or Eric Gordon ( more of a shooting point guard )and that cat Bayless from Arizona ( more of a shooting point guard too ) so the guard class is good this year. Let's not mess this up like Atlanta did..... D. Wade and D. Rose........... Da FUTURE...

Beasley would be a great addition. We needs a nde coach and a new GM. Riley's days are past. His players are old and so is his gameplan. Everyone on the team looked lost, everyone. Heat need three moves... New coach, Draft Beasley, get Calderon from free agency.

Yes it is very disappointing. I think the only way we can get out of this horrible season is Derrick Rose. But that still wont save our season next year, we need to make a serious trade to get rid of J-will and the rest of those crackheads we have. All you people who say WE NEED TO KEEP J Will are full of crap because he is one of the most inconsistent players i have ever seen. And not to mention his defense is horrendous.
Next years lineup:
Look for the HEAT to go after Luol Deng (atleast i wish they would)
DRaft Rose
pick up a few free agents and we should be a decent team and be back in the playoffs.
