Dwyane looking good
Saw Dwyane go hard at the end of practice in some drills against Daequan Cook and Chris Quinn, and he looked real good. He might have been avoiding real hard contact on his left side, but that's probably more because he hasn't been completely cleared for practice, and not because he's tentative or anything like that.
He even said after that session that he could play right now, but he wants to come back at full strength and not worry about hurting the team while he's rounding back into proper form.
At the very least it was an encouraging sight. He seemed to be jumping without a problem, which is encouraging because J-Will didn't look this good last year at this time after the same knee surgery.
Dwyane also said he's supposed to see the doctor again on Thursday (at least that was the plan), and he will find out then if he can move forward in the rehab process. I'm guessing the next step is just full contact practice, but that could be wrong.
I'm thinking the earliest return date might still be Nov. 14 against Seattle at home.
But Dwyane is always pretty secretive and sneaky with that stuff (remember his return last season from the shoulder injury was a surprise), so you never know. Could even be earlier. I can't imagine, after seeing him Tuesday, that he needs that much more time. I guess we'll see.

just what I wanted to hear.....I can't wait til Miami's superman comes back

In short what i mean is we all know that D Wade is a soldier,he doesn't have to prove that to nobody. He should stick to plan,he will only miss a few games and we can deal with that now, not toward the end of the season when everyone will be tensed.Ricky Davis welcome to MIA the Heat needs you.Miami is gonna be hot this season and i can't wait

I'd rather have him in street clothes for a longer time. Remember how Caron Butler looked like after he rushed back from knee surgery in 2003?

do you know what i mean?but the media need to let him make up his own mind and stop manipulating him.

well d wade should take his time we are only starting the season we are not desperate for wins at this time we need to get healthy first. this way ricky can shine for a little bit

What'd you guys think of D-Wade's new T-Mobile commercials with Barkley?
Posted by: Derek | Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 11:16 AM
You don't rush your franchise player back on the court for a couple of meanless regular season games. He's our franchise, our cornerstone. D-Wade needs to take his time and come back fully healthy and ready to put a beatdown on the East.

Thats very encouraging news. Im not worried about D wade physically. im more worried mentally. Last year when he came back, we could all tell he was hesitating. And i think it was more fear of reinjuring himself than any sort of pain. I really hope he can surpass that demon that seemed to handcuff him late last year. This team has got alot of potential despite our 0-7 preseason. I love the trade for Davis, and if we can get a solid back up for Udonis (I really hope we can get PJ back here) watch out. But we wont get anywhere unless D Wade is back and ready to dominate once more.

Do not be surprised if the doctor clears Wade for contact on thursday... that will allow for him to have a full week of normal practice and then see how he feels about potentially lacing them up for next week against San Antonio... At this point one or two more weeks of rest is not going to make him any healthier... We need him ready to go as soon as he is healthy and he seems already there

KOBE to the HEAT now? ... it is possible!!!
Get KOBE to the HEAT now - this is doable (under the following scenario) if Riley and the Heat act fast and have an interest in doing this trade!!!!!
How about convincing Riley (Shaq & Kobe - be friends again) to agree to try a trade with the LAKERS to get KOBE to the HEAT?
As the recently discussed deal between the Lakers, the Kings and the Bulls (with the Lakers getting Artest & Wallace, and the Kings getting Gordon & PJ Brown, and Kobe going to the Bulls) did not go through, basically because of Kobe's No-Trade clause, there is/would be a window of opportunity for the HEAT to get KOBE under the following (technically checked out) trade scenario:
The MIAMI HEAT would get Bryant KOBE (with a Salary:$19,490,625 and Years Remaining: 3 --- PTS: 45.0 REB: 8.0 AST: 4.0 PER: 30.78 --- KOBE's contract would have: No-Trade Clause Cannot trade this player without receiving his consent. Only a player with at least 8 years of NBA experience, including at least 4 years with the team he is signing with, is eligible to negotiate a no-trade clause into his contract.
The LA LAKERS would get in return from the HEAT the following players:-> a) Dorell Wright --- with a Salary:$2,040,746 and Years Remaining: 1; -> b) Jason Williams -- with a Salary:$8,937,500 and Years Remaining: 1; and -> c) Udonis Haslem, with a Salary:$6,050,000 and Years Remaining: 3 ....
This would be for all parties a workable trade, and I believe that it would not only benefit the HEAT, as well as the LAKERS (as the deal is surely better as the above mentioned 3-way trade between the Bulls, KIngs and Lakers)
This would be great for the HEAT, more or less guaranteeing us a place in the NBA Finals for the next 2 years to come - including this season!
THE HEAT should go for this trade and GET KOBE NOW!

we dont need kobe...we're fine with shaq wade and soon to be davis if he shows us wut he got...anyways if kobe comes to us we would have to get rid of a lot of players we need...so let kobe go somewhere else
