SO do you eat baked snake with a nice Chianti or a nice red wine?

( Only uncouth people would eat it live...)

I would suggest possibly cooking the snake like a carp.

African Brown Snake Tartar---

Whack and clean the snake.
Place in a pan with some potatoes, onions and a dab of garlic.
Add one fifth of vodka, a half bottle of brandy and seep for a few minutes.

Remove the snake and drink the gravy.
