Farmers vie to get dryer balls on Wal-Mart shelves

(Thanks to nursecindy, who says "I had no idea they even sold these at Walmart.")

I actually did buy those! Before I used those plastic ones. They act as fabric softener and speed up drying.

When I clicked this link I had no idea that "dryer balls" was just a sheep shot at marketing.

Considering our temperatures are going to be in the 90's for the next week, with about 1000% humidity, these may be a little difficult to find for awhile. There's nothing worse than a farmer with schweddy balls.

In my youth, we just used a hair-dryer---wait, what?

Wool? Oh, sorry.

Sounded kinky and maybe--maybe--weird at first...

@Le Pet -I've learned not to make assumptions just from the name - I thought that the movie "Die Hard" was about a tragic death of a guy who overdosed Viagra.

We use new tennis balls for drying bulky things like pillows or comforters.

"Cleanup on aisle 7."

Softens your clothes and gives them that lovely raw-lanolin fragrance. And maybe they'll be the next Tide Pod fad.

I read 'dryer balls' and thought is was about talcum powder.
