Huge spider rescued from Queensland floodwaters

Some flood waters ain't near high enough.

"Sadly male tarantulas usually die after mating at around five years of age, while females can live up to 30 years." And women outlive men in the human sphere. Nature is cruel.

I note the spider was rescued before the Year 6 Students. I am not sure what this portends, but I personally find it wierder than a monkey with a PHD.
