(Thanks to Jon Harris, who says "We're gonna need a bigger cat.")

i thought it was 30,000 pounds of BANANAQ.[

Van Etten says the spill "was just really messy."

Really? Who knew?

We're gonna need a bigger scoop.

Scented or unscented? Because 30,000 pounds of scented litter has got to be hazmat, I would think. I sure wouldn't want to be anywhere near it.

And we're also gonna need a bigger litter box.

At least it wasn't 'used' cat litter. (BTW, I know quite a few people who carry bags of kitty litter in their trunks to use for traction in case they get stuck on icy roads.)

coscolo makes a good point about using kitty litter for traction on snow an ice, it works well. Also kitty litter is great for absorbing oil on a concrete floor. Now if we could just come up with a use for the kitty.

ruptured bags of rain-moistened litter

Uh huh. Rain.

At least it wasn't radioactive kitty litter.

Not just 30,000 lbs ... over 31,000 lbs

Every cat needs a sandbox.

It's beginning to smell a lot like cat piss.
