" Hafnarjförður "

...which translated, means " arsonist house cat ".

years ago when I took my kids on vacation, my cats turned on the faucet in the bathroom and flooded the apartment downstairs.

And yes, I had left them plenty of water, food, clean litter, etc: this wasn't an act of desperation. It was sheer malice, a.k.a. "cat fun".

This nearly happened to my friend in Seattle. The cats turned on the stove while they were gone. They were SO lucky that the pet sitter caught it.

This happened to us too. We saw her do it -- she jumped up and was slightly off-target, so she scrabbled with her hind feet, hit the lever, and turned on the stove. (This was a very old stove, in the days of analog controls.)

Night before last, mine decided he wanted to watch tv so he hopped on my nightstand and stood on the remote. At 4 am.

Cats obviously can't be trusted!

Another argument for electric stoves
