$ 4,500 seems a little spendy for a few hours of elephant frolic. You could probably get a pair of giraffes for less than half that.

There is no telling what you will see on one of our beaches!

I saw someone actually swimming once!!!

The elephant was released after producing a Florida driver's license.

A LOT of one quart resealable plastic bags as well as a mammoth pooper scooper should be part of the dream.

Definitely unsettling evidence of modern wildlife evolution.

I'd be a little concerned about the elephant as well.

I saw this on NOVA: An elephant can recognize itself in a mirror. A dolphin, chimp can too. Dogs, meanwhile, DO NOT recognize themselves in a mirror.

Dog's don't care

I thought this was about Gov.Christie but as the photos attest, it is not.

Didn't Harry Chapin write a song about this?

I don't care WHO is in a mirror as long as I have my bucket!

When I was a kid I saw six circus elephants bathing in a local pond. They were perfectly at home, and it was completely weird.

At least Florida has the appropriate climate for elephants. I once saw one bathing in a river in the Yukon Territory in Canada. A circus was in transit, and there was a convenient riverside pullout. I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a mastodon.

Not one joke about swim trunks? Did you forget?

I had suspected it, but now there is photographic proof that and elephant CAN pee an ocean.
