Scoff if you like, but fingers can be dangerous. I pulled one once and it went off. I'm OK now, but it was touch and go for a while.

I like Steve's idea. Fight stupidity by having all the students make a finger gun at the same time. Would they all be suspended? And what if it was only a finger water gun! Or a finger starter's pistol? Sheesh.
