I guess "delicacy" is one word for it.

I know that you're all jealous.

Tried some poutine visiting my son in Vermont. Not bad, but it sounds so dirty.

"Poutine" sounds like sad food.
It is food, isn't it? Not as good as grits, I'm sure.

Poutine has an uphill battle, marketing-wise, at least in the romance language countries, due to its unfortunate resemblance to "Putana".
