Where any of the men actually watching the ball ? With her sitting there in her getup ? She should be wearing a full skirt and a long sleaved blouse. And she should probably watch the game.

The same mistake has been made by a few pro players. One alert tween threw the ball from the stands to get the runner out at home. Alas, it was for naught.
I seem to recall that the umpire walked to the stands and explained the call to the kid as he gave him the ball. I think the kid also received other stuff from both teams for the heads up play.

How did they know it was live? Do live balls scream when they get hit?
Posted by: Omniskeptic | March 12, 2013 at 12:48 PM
Wait, there was a baseball game?

I think the young lady can pick up my balls whenever she wants to.

Omni, I agree. Test that baseball's DNA and get a
check on any heartbeat.
I have this both horrible an funny idea of an
animated baseball character getting excited as
a male would....ewww...

"She's making a young fan very happy with that ball." Yeah, OK. That's why the guy had a big smile on his face. The ball. Yep. That's it.
Posted by: Layzeeboy | March 12, 2013 at 02:59 PM
And Omni, the live balls themselves don't scream but the guy to whom they're attached does.

Proof that many Hooters staff go on to careers in MLB or MSNBC because of their sharp baseball minds and overall assets.

Heck, she made a nice play. Form was good. Watched the ball into her glove. Good training video for young ballplayers.

The announcers (remember them?) said it was not the first time it had happened.

What is a live baseball?
Seriously, I have no idea.
