Palatable? On what plant is poop, either real or synthetic, considered "palatable"?
And how would she know? "Wipe that 'poop-eating' grin off your face, lady!"

I've been a nurse for a long time and this is the first time I've ever heard of fecal transplant. I call B.S. on this one. Or fake B.S.

"I don't give a shit."
"O yeah, well I don't take no shit."
cindy - I've worked in tissue transplantation for almost 30 years, been on and chaired several national committees, and even served as a consultant for the FDA and U.N. on the subject. I've never heard of it either.

I've heard of it to combat C. difficile and Crohn's Disease. And, in fact, to replace a normal intestinal bacterial population after some antibiotic treatments cause untoward effects.
However, as I told my wife, "When we win the lottery, no more sham-poo for us! It'll be the real thing after that!"

It's a very effective treatment, guys; if you ever get a c. difficile infection you'll want it. Personal experience here...

My cousin, who suffers from Crohn's, had a fecal transplant and it transformed her life.

Also, our two young 'uns attend this university, and son was very impressed to hear he could earn $20/donated hot stool (has to be in the lab within 5 mins. of seeing the light of day). You're welcome.

Several of my relatives have had C-Diff, NurseCindy, and I can attest that the transplant worked for one of them. Sure, it sounds unpleasant, but so is scrubbing their homes down with Lisol, top to bottom, 3x, in a vain attempt to kill off the C-Diff spores. It's the most common "superbug" out in the wild now, and the origins all point to sub-standard cleaning practices in hospitals and resthomes.
Avoid this infection like the plague!
