Unless you know that the UPS is delivering something they just leave it. Oh boy. You always hope for nice weather when that happens.

A bit over 25 years ago I took a seasonal job with UPS as a sorter/truck cleaner/unloader. One fine night a package came down the belt with about a pound of a green herbal substance that various law enforcement types object to. It had, somehow, accidentally, come open.
When it got to the end of the belt the now empty package was taped up and sent to its destination.
