I've heard some church choirs where hosing them down might be an improvement.

At my church the problem is soloists. Someone with a half-way decent voice...but not that good... gets up front and pulls a Pavarotti. Not pretty.

There's no way I'd convict him. He's a saint by virtue of taste.
