Exactly, Allen.
I think it was an homage to Mordecai Richler's Joshua Then and Now, in which the title character's Mom is a stripper who "performa" for his friends at his bar mitzvah.

When the cops there they were surprised to see uniformed cops already there. Turned out they were actually part of the Mom party in the basement.
