“I feel like we’re on the upswing,” Haukeness said. But added, “there’s a strong possibility we’re going to encounter some more bats before they’re completely eradicated.”

In Illinois there are only so many months when it is permitted to remove bats.
Pretty much the entire Cubs season all the bats go elsewhere.

Reminds me of an old Army marching cadence.
If all of the people
Were bats in the steeple
And I were a big bat
There'd be more bats than people
Say hey bobba re bop
Your 1, 2, ....3, 4

One live bat and a few dead ones? That makes me nervous...bats have a fair incidence of rabies.
A number of years ago back home, there was a case of a young girl who woke up her parents yelling in the middle of the night, saying a bat had bitten her. Parents didn't see any bat; told her there, there, go back to sleep. A few months later she developed rabies. Hospital managed to keep her alive 18 months or so. Number of survivors of rabies worldwide once it develops is tiny.

By the afternoon, school boards had gone completely bats, and tennis rackets and butterfly nets were stable on the Asian markets. Recliners led lazy boys by two to one, and by the end of the program, the announcer had defected to Canada. Good evening,
