WE HAVE MADE THE SAME MISTAKE COUNTLESS TIMES

However, Mindy Dick, of the Ladner-based Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society (OWL), said incidents such as this are fairly common and it’s most likely the jogger was wearing a ponytail and the owls mistook her for a squirrel from their high vantage point.

“Ninety nine per cent of the time, the owls will think the person is a squirrel said Dick."

So these scientists know what Owls will think?

Guess owls don't have "eyes like a hawk."

Shouldn't be too hard to train those owls to go after guys with mullets.

Then we can unleash a whole flock on a Lynrd Skynrd concert. Mwah-hah-ha-ha-hahhhhhhhh!

BTW, up until now I thought Mindy Dick was a regional sub-variation on Spotted Dick. The things ya learn around here...

And I thought the owls thought they were going after beavers. Stupid me.

How appropriate.
I went into the barn this morning and found that a squirrel had gotten into a wood-storage system I built.
Instead of running off terrified, she got up on a beam and blessed me like a Bishop.
My wife suggested a plastic owl but I wasn't sure they ate animals as big as that squirrel.
Nice to know.

The warning is only to women. While I agree that men with ponytails deserve whatever the owls do to them, it is strange to see a public official be so open about holding that view.

Are we sure the owls weren't carrying an envelope?

O.K. why wasn't this story covered under the blogs strict policy? HHHMMM!

If the owl wasn't barred before, it is now. Haw, haw.

Sorry.
