Google Maps was no help, but it appears it's the River Baise. There's an area just south along the river that shares that name as well. Google Translate confirms the quoted statement.

It IS the river Baise. That that is a French word for...errr....ahem....errr...well let us just say that swallowing may or may not be involved....*blush*
