At first, they only glimpsed the hair, and feared it was Donald Trump.

Australia, land of amazing news stories ...
Sidebar news story:
Over 100,000 feral camels have been culled from the Australian landscape .. reducing the overall population and lowering their density around priority environmental sites.
If there was such an annual culling project here in USA, there would be a major outcry from animal rights activists.

MOTW ~ Can we start culling politicians? I think we're infested.

In NYC, you can't order a koala larger than 16 ounces.

Many years back, some Australian biologist type was quoted somewhere about how, yes, Koalas are kute and all, but they're wild animals and not to be taken liberties with. Why, they'll urinate on you.
Somebody else, probably from the Australian tourist board, posted a rebuttal, saying in part, that visitors didn't need to worry about " ... Koalas coming roaring down out of the trees to piddle on you." That's almost exactly verbatim, as I remember it, especially the use of the words "roaring down out of the trees" and "piddle."
