True story: I was a contestant on the Price Is Right five years ago (Bob's last year). Made it all the way to the final Showcase Showdown and everything. Everyone on the set was very, very open and very, very nice. But you were NOT to approach the models in any way, nor did they seem especially interested in acknowledging your existence. I just thought that was kind of...weird.

Scott - My neighbor was also a contestant, many years ago. As Bob walked by her seat, she said "Bob, that's my daughter in the front row!" His comment? "That's your problem, not mine", to which she casually replied "Gee, you look really good considering how long you've been doing this show. Must be the makeup!"
Needless to say, she didn't win the Showcase, but she did win a new kitchen set, and some "fabulous parting gifts".
What the heck is a parting gift, anyway?
