So that was where the WMDs were all this time.

This is the same stuff used to kill former KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko in 2006. It could have come from Mrs. Arafat's Tuna Surprise casserole.

"...found an abnormal amount of polonium-210..."

There's a normal amount????

For a while at the end of the cold war this was a trendy way to kill someone. The guy cindy mentioned was supposedly killed by someone poking an umbrella tip loaded with polonium into his foot in a crowd. His last words were "Gol DANG the nizzer nazzerin' nimrod putting his flipper flappin umbrella where it don't---urggggggggh."

A Swiss laboratory confirmed Wednesday that it found an abnormal amount of polonium-210 on a pair of underwear used by late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

Just wondering, what's the 'normal' amount of polonium for underwear?

Dave, didn't you see Radioactive Underwear open for The Cowsills?

WMDs in his BVDs?

He was being treated for a bowel problem. Maybe they x-rayed him in the vicinity of his shorts.

Polonium-210? Really? What could Czar Vladimir have had against his old client? Does the KGB do freelance work now? I wonder if the grieving Suha has ever been asked about the millions in "aid money" the old terrorist had squirreled away in Swiss bank accounts...

Can of worms coming right up!

Serious question time:

What's the half-life of polonium-210? Arafat died 8 years ago, so if he were poisoned with it, would there actually be any trace of it left by now?

Maybe not in him, Norman - but in his underpants? Man, those marks are hard to get out!

Why did it occur to anybody to test Arafat's undies for radioactivity eight years later? And why do they still have them?

Holy relics, Mad Librarian...
