DRAT?

Let's see 4 letter word.

Ken? NO that's three.

Marion, Nope he was funny at times in a bad way. too many letters.

Help me out here guys!

*sigh* First Dave wins a Pulitzer Prize, then he writes a book that becomes a Tony Award winning play on Broadway. Now he's a clue in a NYT crossword puzzle. Before you know it he'll be posing on cruise ships with famous princesses. I hope he remembers us little people.

"Gene" of course.

Although they seem to have mis-spelled "Weingarten".

Let's see, so far I've got F-A-blank-T... little help here?

That's too easy. The clue should be "Dave Barry" and the word should be "BOOGER."

save the paper for when dave gets back...

Barry Award for Comedy is Australian. Now, how many NY Times crossers could be expected to know that?

Printed it out and just finished it. Thanks, Dave.

Dave, I'm sorry to break this to you. But I just did the puzzle and the answer was JOHN Barry. So...

Bond(s)?

Dave, your funny. Those ladies on the cruise must be giving you ideas.

I thought " Halle " had 2 ' l's ' ...?

Actually, this is not the first time Dave (Barry) has been clued and a correct answer in the NYT crossword puzzle ... I've solved more than one of the Sunday version that had sum reference to our favorite blog person ...

Oh, I thought it was "Kevin." Too many letters, I guess.

Dulce et decorum est ...

The solution, of course, accidentally left off the "'s wonderful assistant." Congratulations on making the NY Times crossword, Judi!

You could get into the puzzle much more often if you started spelling your last name "BARRI".
