REMAINDERS UPDATE

We played our second-to-last show last night at the El Rey in LA, and we had a great crowd of people who had been drinking a lot did not seem to mind that we messed up on virtually all several of our songs, including, incredibly, Wild Thing. Tonight we play our last show ever as a whole band, at the American Library Association convention in Anaheim, which is the city where we first played 20 years ago this month.

Today we're hanging out in our hotel, where Roger McGuinn recorded James McBride playing saxophone into a microphone taped to a lamp.

This is the kind of thing we hepcat musicians do all the time for hep musical reasons.

This is merely one more confirmation of whut I've known for years ... musicians are different frum the rest of us without their special gifts ...

And I mean that in the BEST possible way ...

Is James McBride embarrassed too busy to go on stage with the rest of the band?

btw, I'm sure the RBR's know this but, Wild Thing only has 3 chords. A,D,and E. Not necessarily in that order though.

Duct tape. Is there anything it can't do??

Rock on, Remainders!!! Would love to have been there for this most grand occasion!

Good Luck Dave on your final performance as an RBR. I am sure that it will be quite emotional for all of you guys.

Break a leg!

ps- I received me copy of Lunatics yesterday in the mail; went upstairs, and was unable to put it down till I finished it. Excellent work! I loved it. = )

The librarians are excited, Dave. And I'm sure by 8pm we all will have had enough to drink to get through the concert, bad chords and all.

Now what will Dave do with all that spare time?
Maybe he could write a book or something.

This is how you guys trash a hotel room?
