IT'S TIME TO PLAY "GUESS THE STATE"

The city began welding shut the public restrooms at Clear Lake Park this week.

(Thanks to of course Jeff Meyerson)

Homeless residents of the city are abhorred by the actions, as well as taxpayers who find the move cruel to everyone visiting public areas.

Attention, Mr. Language Person!

Constipated language alert!

There's a scene from Airplane! that comes to mind, when it all hits the fan.

Agreed Horace. What does it mean to be abhorred by an action?

There are those who are voluntarily homeless, including those with mental or drug problems.
Then there are those who are involuntarily homeless due to life happening to them.
Life can stomp on anyone.
And for those who go on and on about making "good choices", show me that crystal ball that tells you what a degree or investment will be worth in 30 years.
"Good choice" too often is "Best guess".
Miss Cleo? Is that you? What happened?

Were the restrooms occupied at the time? I'd be abhorred if they were.

Hey! Let me out of here! I told you I'd be finished in just a few minutes!!!

Cruel isn't locking the johns. Cruel is locking the johns and then passing out free jalapeno tacos.

Guess the state? North Carolina, right?

Oh, it wasn't? Huh.

soon to be renamed '(not so) clear lake park'

I would be concerned that the former customers of the aforementioned public facilities might decide to make their deposits in a less appropriate place, for instance in a public park.

Agreed, Horace' and markhh ... where's Mr. Language Person when we really need him?

Mr. Language Person is being abhorred with a tablecloth for Father's Day.

Dang! And I s'pose His Blogness Abhorrence will be presented with the LAST Fathers' Day Tablecloth of Greatness in the entire Known (and Unknown) Universe ...

I hate it when that happens ...

That ain't no Baby Ruth.

I get a kick when the grammatically challenged try to sound authoritative by adding unnecessary and often obfuscating verbiage. It don't mean crap.

West VA? No wait!

Trees are public restrooms there. And mighty good ones too. Unless it is poison sumac.

True that, ligirl. Take away their toilets and running water. Now you don't have homeless people; you have stinky homeless people who piss on the sidewalk.

The world's population is divided into 2 groups. One group for whom public toilets are better than what they've got at home, and those for whom public toilets are worse. Be very thankful if you fall into the latter category.

"Clearwater
Is nice to the homeless
Clearwater-er
Super cool to the homeless"
