THREAT TO KILL AT KIDS' SOCCER GAME

This sounds like the basis for some kind of crazy novel or something.

Life imitating art, which I don't know anything about, but I know what I like.

I have had to escort a parent who was red carded (shown yellow but told to leave) from the sideline. As a coach, I have been yellow carded for parent behavior as a coach. As an assistant coach in soccer, I have put my shoulder into a head coach and stepped backwards to separate an official and someone who was losing control.

I escorted a ref off the field when the other side's parents went across the line.

We all react when one of our children takes a hit. Only once in recent times have I spoken to a parent who called for one of their players to injure one of our players -- an event that caused the parent's spouse to say "That means shut up Earl. He's speaking for a lot of us who want you to shut up."

Sometimes we expect too much of our kids and too little of our adults.

It isn't fun to be a grown up at a youth sports event.

Big misunderstanding. He wanted to kilt the ref. Pull off his shorts and put him in a skirt. NTTAWWT.

In no way do I expect an autographed copy of Lunatics for contributing that story.

So there is no pressure at all, Judi.

Or expectations, Dave.

None.

Just to be clear.
