Lately my regular fit jeans become skinny jeans after about a year or so.

This is exactly why I weigh 270 lbs. I am NOT tempted to wear skinny jeans and thus ensure better health !

I'm trying to figure out the wrong way to wear jeans. Sideways?

NUMA:
One of the hazards of being a growing boy, you've just changed the direction of that growing.
And Dave,
even wearing them on your legs isn't enough advice, the fly (zipper) part of the jeans should be at the top of legs, not at the feet. If you are going to post instructions for how to use things like jeans please make sure that they are complete. I shudder to think how many blog readers made my mistake in following your directions and are stuck trying to walk only able to take 4 inch steps because no one else was around to tell them the part about the fly that you left out.
