This is as close to zero as makes no difference.
This is as close to WTFBBQ as makes no sense.

Oh, I know people who shoot that badly. Doesn't surprise me at all.
Besides, he's not the same person from film to film.

And Sean Connery did it all while continuing to look incredibly sexy.

Bond never took a lightning strike to the family jewels, though.

Obviously he didn't But he has proven the reincarnation theory.

Hey, I saw "The Avengers" last night, and each one of the good guys probably avoided that many bullets in the opening credits.

That's why he's Bond, James Bond, and we are not!

Two words: Kevlar tuxedos.

The man's numbers are just way off. In WWII 15,000 bullets were fired for every solder killed, if we assume WWII levels of accuracy, James Bond is less than 1/3rd of the way to being killed. This means we can expect about 50 more Bond films before they start getting unrealistic.

Pfft! If the Star Wars Imperial Storm Troopers had been shooting at him, he could easily go over a million without being hit. Did they ever actually hit anybody other than civilians?
Also, I'm curious whether the Bond totals included thrown daggers, ninja stars, crossbow bolts, astronaut lasers from "Moonraker", speargun shots from "Thunderball", etc....

A real statistical expert would not say that some probability is so close to zero it makes no difference. Such a statement would, for example, support creationism over evolution because the probability of humans evolving on earth is very low, but given sufficient planets and time, then a low-probability event can occur but a zero probability event never would. Second, we cannot calculate the cumulative probability of an outcome for a 4,662-event series without knowing or at least being able to estimate somewhat accurately the probability of the individual events in the series.
"The man's numbers are just way off. In WWII 15,000 bullets were fired for every solder killed...."
If your stat is correct, it does not mean 14,999 bullets were misses in which the shooter failed to kill his target. Some of those shot were certainly hit more than once; many more shots were at vehicles and planes; and probably the greatest share of ammo was expended in enemy deterrence and "covering" fire for allies.

Um, I don't find this surprising at all considering every shot fired was a blank. Its the movies... duh...

Allen, you forgot that one sumo dude that kept throwin' his hat at him.

Imagine the job training and skill transfer that went into this study.
"Blam!"
"One"
"Blam!"
"Two."
"Look, everyone, boobies!"
"Um, where was I? Oh, yeah. One!"

Evidently neither shaken nor stirred.

Uh, Nicholas, are you A Real Statistical Expert?
And max, can you kill solder? I've only melted it, does that make it dead?
Personally, I think Bond, James Bond, just has really great reflexes.
