I remember staying home sick one day in the 50s. My mother was watching a soap, so I did, too. One b&w tv, three channels.
One whole half hour was taken up with a woman walking around her apartment picking up random objects while a voice-over gave her thoughts.
She was thinking of making a phone call.
That and this experiment have to be related through a wormhole in space.
