oops - our bad

Well, at least nobody will ever be able to say that about Earth...

Marzipan!

"...nutrients were added to the Martian soil...The soil gave off a gas, believed to be mainly carbon dioxide."
If it had been hydrogen sulfide, we'd have known Taco Bell was there.

Which is exactly why the aliens avoid the "intelligent" life (if there is any) on earth.
We tend to shoot or boil first and ask questions later.

As God is my witness, I thought Martians could survive boiling.

Closer inspection of the microbes revealed that they were covered in ketchup and bemoaning the impact of the tourists from Earth.

This is an old, old story. Keeps coming back every few years since 1976 and with no more certainty than it had originally. I would be delighted if it were true, but as an accountant would say, they cooked the books. We'll never know.

There's nothing they can do at this late date except send Famous Dave up there with 10 lbs of charcoal briquettes, a can of Kingsford and a meat thermometer.

"Life on Mars found but destroyed by mistake"

HATE it when that happens ...

And when is PETM (People for the Ethical Treatment of Martians) going to speak up???

Martian Microbes ... taste like chicken?

(and ... wbagnfa band with a lotta space between the ears ... merely sayin' ... )

Yeah right.

For those of us who are not lucky enough to be in NYC
tonight, if you have Antenna TV (a few opver-the-air channel in some markets) they are showing the famous
WKRP "turkey" episode tonight. Consult TV Guide or
Zap2It or TitanTV for the time locally.

Just a word the the wise fans.

Oh, the (H)U(manity)!

One of these days, you'd think we'd get it right the first time...

Marvin, we hardly knew ye.
