"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that anyone bitten by a snack should first call 9-1-1..."

Good advice. Those snack attacks can be deadly.

I carry one with me at all times. Just in case.

Was that scored as an extra stroke?...

Al'@Div' ... nope ... it wuz a casual snake attack ... free drop ...

(I question the wisdom of printing the emergency number as "9-1-1" ... rather than "911" ... sum folks would try to put those dashes into their dialing process ... I don't think that'll werk, merely sayin' ... )

(Yeah, I'm picky about stuff like that. So?)

So what about yelling "Fore!" when you swing that golf club? Have we learned nothing since the days of
Gerald Ford?

'calling for help right away is crucial because "time is tissue."

words to live by - don't blow it

The ethnocentrist who wrote this failed to point out that those bite and fatality stats are for the US. Worldwide, snakebite kills more people than your average war.

He was so lucky to have his caddy right in his kitchen.

Most baby rattlers wouldn't be that toxic where in 3 minutes your speech is slurred. I'm guessing the mojave rattlesnake. Has a neurotoxin as well as the "soup making" hemotoxins. Is on some lists as a top ten most deadly sna,e.

Yeah, that occurred to me. The mojave is a bad customer. And it was in the right part of the country, wasn't it?

W.C. Fields used to say he always carried a small bottle of whiskey with him in case of snake bite. He also carried a small snake with him at all times.

Always carry a golf club, or a snake? Or both? The header isn't clear.
