AND LO, IN THE MALL, THERE WAS A FLASH MOB....

...and it was pretty good.

Merry Christmas, Everyone

Kudos to Baby Jesus, who was extremely well-behaved.

Nice. Very nice. *snif*

Thanks, Dave, for putting me into the Christmas spirit!
Now, later today when I want to throttle my relatives, I'll just go to my inner mob.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Festive Festivus, Kwazy Kwaanza and a partridge in a pear tree to all my blog buddies!

Merry Christmas. But next year, flash mobbers, pick up the tempo.

Where are the Air Jordan flash mobbers?

Oh wait, that was just mobbers. Never mind.

That was wonderful.
There is an emotional connection with music that can bring back memories with unusual clarity.
That is why I, an old Agnostic, love Christmas music. It brings back loved ones who are long gone and, for a little while, I can enjoy their company.
I sometimes leak a few tears when this happens. But it's from gladness that I had them rather than sadness they're gone.

VERY COOL!! Merry Christmas to all my blog friends!! Wishing you PEACE, JOY and Happiness to you and your loved ones. Happy Hanukkah to those of the Jewish faith and Blessed Festivities for all those celebrating other Holidays. If you're not celebrating anything, have a great Saturday.

Some great voices on there. Loved the guys on the escalator. Shoulda had some dancing rabbis singing "Dreidl dreidl dreidl", though.

Thank you, Dave. Very nice.

I sent this to Dave not because I believe in aliens, (although I do), but because it had such a cool "message" about the Baby Jesus.

Wishing ALL the Barry "extended family" (including all the bloggers, blogettes and even Dam Spam-mers)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS....

Sorry, but when it reaches this level of production the flash mob concept has officially “jumped the shark.”

Oh, Dave. Thank you. I've been having a crummy Christmas week because I've been sick and can't get to Chicago to see my family, but you and this wonderful choir reminded me that Christmas happens wherever I am because it's not about me. It's about this little baby from so long ago who brought light and life to a world in darkness. You have made my Christmas spirit sing. Thank you.

A very merry Christmas to all of my wonderful friends here. Thank you all for making my days sunny and bright. You are a gift to my heart.

OK, I'm done. No need to call the Schmaltz Police. *sniff* I'll just go take care of the dust in my eye now....

May whatever you celebrate be a joyous occasion, bloglits!

Bah! Humbug!

I suspect you are the Humbug....NTTAWWT...

Checklist:

Halls? Decked.
Gay apparel? Donned.
Herald Angel? Harked.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Wishing to each his or her own version of the season. May it be happy and warm and enjoyed with friends and family and maybe a glass of wine.

Merry Christmas to all bloggers and bloggettes here.

Peace on Earth and Good will to All! AMEN

fivver, are you sure you've done all of your chores?

Angels on high?
The king of Israel?
Dong merrily on high?
What I hear?
It on the mountain?
The bells on Christmas day?
Three ships sailing in?
It, upon a midnight clear?
Bells, all the way?
Lots of weird gifts from your true love over twelve days?

Also, is This Endris Night" a 15th-century English Christmas carol, or a Japanese drinking song?

Well, our midnights are clear in this non-winter, but we're leaving it anyway for the KEYS! Sioux and Dave, meet us at Edith's

Very cute show performanceart happening "flash mob". Great singing... chills.

Merry everything to everyone, and keep hope for peace alive.

I almost didn't open this one because I thought it was the mob running over each other for expensive shoes. I am so glad I changed my mind. *a little snif of my own*

Thanks, Dave, and Merry Christmas to all!

Wow that made me cry! That was beautiful and I think it finally helped me get into the Christmas spirit. This is the first Christmas without my mom and it's been harder than I thought but I'll be spending Christmas with my family tonight and tomorrow. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever holiday you celebrate. You all are the best and I hope Santa is very good to you.

And HAVE JOY!

Nc, I forgot about that -- me too, a year ago we were Skyping to family on the two coasts, and she was gone a week later. Do you know the comic Lizz Winstead? (co-creator of the Daily show). She went though it this year, and will be having a book out this spring... She has on her mom's Christmas sweater - said (via twitter) that she wore it on the Ed Show last night, and added, "I'll probably sleep in it." Sweet!

Best, best wishes to all, with or without moms, or sweaters (I know your story Dave).

I'll look her up Tash. Thanks and I hope you have a great Christmas. I've just had my first Christmas disaster. I was putting some powdered sugar away and dropped it. 2 lbs. of powdered sugar is now all over my kitchen counter, cabinets, floor, chihuahuas and Labrador who tries to supervise me when I'm cooking. The dogs are not allowed in my kitchen but I guess the naughty, non-Christmasy words I was yelling was just too much to ignore.

As disasters go, that's a pretty cool one, nc. Let it just make you laugh, since that's really one of the genuinely best things about life. It's why I've spent so much time here (until recently, but I'll be back), and why I'm grateful to Dave and all you bloglit types. It's not about who you believe in, so much as that you understand and celebrate that you're in this universe to be a part of something incredibly wondrous and extraordinary - Jesus being one example of how one might do that.

These mobsters are another, maybe somewhat less impactful, example.

I just can't get over " flash " meaning something else.

( Merry Christmas, everyone ! )

Sounds like you're having a white Christmas, nc.

Merry Christmas to all you bloggers and bloggettes! You make me smile every day, and for that I am very thankful!

Very strange: that "flash mob" scene was certainly a White Christmas, with only a handful of black people. And are we supposed to assume that the holy family hung out at a mall after the birth? Nice voices, but a mixed message.

However, as long as we're mixing messages, Merry Christmukah, Happy Kwanzafestivus, and a Spiffy Saturnaliasolstice to everyone.

Cool mob, Dave. I am inspired to finish wrapping gifts and make cookies.
A huge Thank You to the writers and readers of the blog. May blessings rain down upon you throughout the New Year.

That was beautiful -- thanks for it.

Except until she hit that last note, and was completely out of tune.

But really, it was moving and brought forth a tear.

And I especially like the guest shot of Frank Zappa.

Merry Christmas everyone. The Lions are doing awesome right now. I see playoffs.

I saw the Pats won, but they don't let me actually watch the game here in Florida. Bah humbug!

Oh, wysiwyg. I've missed you here. :)

*tackles MtB* I've missed you too, Bro!!! So good to see your lovely face. :)

cindy, you know you are in my prayers and my heart. It's year 3 for me and it does get easier, but it's never "easy." *hugs* Also, agreed - laugh and sing "White Christmas" to yourself. ;D *smooch*

Steve's comments at 10:18 AM capture my exact sentiment. Thank you, Dave and Judi, for letting us into your world. Please don't fire Judi again until after the Holidays are over.

My barbershop chorus did a flash mob at a local mall on July 4th to sing "The Star Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America." Unfortunately, being a bunch of guys, we really didn't think it through. First we had a quick warm up/rehearsal out in the parking lot (as opposed to, say, another establishment a few miles down the road) and then walked en masse into the mall. We attracted every security officer in a 20-mile radius. Still, we dashed in, sang, and dashed out before we could get arrested.

Happy Holidays and plenty of Appropriate Remarks to all!
