STATESPERSON OF THE WEEK SO FAR

Evo Morales, the Bolivian president, has been caught on camera kneeing an opposing player in the groin during a football match against a team of political rivals.

(Thanks to Jeff Meyerson, who says, "Send him to Washington.")

playing hardball?

No, let's not send Morales to Washington. We've already got enough thuggish leftists as it is.

We've also got enough criminal union types as well. Morales was also described in the article as a former head of the "coca growers union." Which for me was a real "WTFBBQ?!" moment.

Maybe if Obama had a little more of his (how to put this...) moxie we'd all be in better shape.

Yeah Wes, I singled out that "coca-growers union" line when I sent it in too.

Coca is not cocaine. In that region, the leaves have been used in there natural form for thousands of years. You can legally buy them on the street. Woohoo!

I meant "their". Sorry, Mr. Language Person.

More of a kneeballer than a footballer.

Too bad they weren't playing Venezuela. Hugo Chavez has something coming.

Do we have a coco growers union? Maybe we need one...

(wait, should it be growers'?)
