I heard that as they were closing her stand down they also told her there was no such thing as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny.

I heard this on NPR this morning. Even though the decision was reversed, apology made, some folks are planning a rally of unlicensed lemonade stands in a couple weeks.

When life hands you lemons...

She wasn't set up on the sidewalk in front of her house. The stand was at a public fair. That's a big difference.

Aaaah. And I've also got some tar and feathers somewhere around here, too.

When lemonade is outlawed, only outlaws will have lemonade.

This just seemed mean. To shut down a 7 year old kid's lemonade stand! I'm glad they apologized. Then again, maybe she learned a valuable lesson about the government. Cynicism might not be pretty, but it can save you a lot of trouble sometimes.
