Driver crashes head-on into ambulance.

Incredibly, this did not happen in Florida.

You are not safe from Florida drivers even here in N.C. Someone in a very large Cadillac almost backed into me yesterday and they had a Florida license plate. As for this guy, as a former Paramedic, I would also have given him assistance right after I kicked his rear end for hitting my ambulance.

Alcohol and speed were involved in both accidents, and charges were likely to be laid against the man, police said.

Well, duh.

Does that mean he was speeding or was using speed?

Inquiring minds, etc.

cindy, it's either a large Caddy or a Grand Marquis.

I think there was some head damage involved, too.

He was dialing 1-1-1 to report the first accident at the time.

Too bad. He almost did self-triage.

Something similar happened locally, except the drunk who hit the ambulance was an illegal alien who had no driver’s license and no insurance. The ambulance was responding from another wreck with a patient on board.

"charges were likely to be laid against the man" and then detonated.

Punishment is harsh in NZ.

Well, what can you expect in a place where they drive on the wrong side of the road?

Since he was driving a Tokoroa, I'm surprised he didn't blame it on a sticking gas pedal.

I always knew that roundabouts were dangerous.
