SEND HER TO WASHINGTON
But an elderly woman, who firmly declined to give her name, gave him a piece of her mind, grabbing a nearby price scanner and beating him with it until he fled from the store, according to surveillance video of the scene.
Do NOT miss the video.

Grannie Get Yer Gun.

Gramma is impressive. She proves you don't need a gun to be dangerous. Great innovation.

Which is why I support the registration of those things. And price scanners, too.

I caught that on the local news here but missed where it happened.
She should definitely play Grandma Mazur in the forthcoming Stephanie Plum movie.

Hooray for old people! But she did risk her life.

No explanation of what she was doing at 7-11 at 1 am.
Probably buying Red Bull and a carton of smokes.

Way to go! I hope he's put in a cell with some guys that are real interested in how he was beaten up by a 75 year old woman. To his credit, he didn't hit her back.

I guess the price just wasn't right.
Posted by: Doby Mick | February 18, 2010 at 01:25 PM
well, line cutting IS a venal sin. at least in NYC. they will kill you for it.
Posted by: queensbee | February 18, 2010 at 01:34 PM
I was waiting for this to show up here. Thing is, I'm not convinced she actually managed to hit him. Good for her anyway.

Slightly OT, according to the Janet Evanovich web page:
"Stephanie Plum Cast
TriStar (now Columbia) has signed on Katherine Heigl to play the part of Stephanie Plum in the movie of One For the Money. We are not involved in the casting process, but if we hear of any other actors being signed on we will post the news ASAP. There is no word yet on when the movie might go into actual production."

Guin, see above. Heigl is a terrible choice IMHO, but she's Flavor of the Month so I guess we'll see if it happens.

UGH! They need that actress from My Cousin Vinnie, or someone similar.
