JUST A LITTLE STRUMPETING

The book is out. The tour is updated. Be there or be ware.

See ya in Jersey, Dave.

Since I know Dave is famous for accomodating the bloglets, I'll make a request which I'm absolutely positive he (and his staff of crack publicists) will honor.

Nov 5 is TBA, so hows'bout scheduling a lil' stop in N'Awlins, Canal Street, right by the Quarter. I'll buy the bignets and/or hurricanes, your choice.

The boy and I should be in West Chester, PA, Dave. See y'all there!!

Am I the only sicko or does the second character from the left on the book cover appear to have a very bright "sword" emanating from his "man parts"? I realize its the light emanating from the chest, but the other interpretation would be an explanation for the look on the lad's face and the fascination of the lass's? Calling Dr. Frued, please!

I'm heading for West Chester, with any family members willing to appear publicly with me.

That will be event # 3 for me to see you, Tink!!

Why oh why do you never come to Michigan?

Come on Dave, we buy lots of books in Utah (especially kids books). How about putting Salt Lake City on the list?

Wvplantman, we're all assuming that was intentional.

'Sword of Mercy', indeed

sthnbelle, we met at the Fairless Hills, PA bookstore ("Rundoon"), but what other strumpet event did we both attend? NYC for "Shadow Thieves"?

be where?

The Naperville crew will be costumed and ready, if I can ever figure out the dang ears.

Sadly, I won't be able to go to the signing tomorrow night. :(

yea! Another trip to Petaluma. Dave, should I bring you another cool, refreshing beverage of the adult variety? (yes, I snuck a beer into a signing a few years ago......felt so sneaky) see you on halloween!

ANDY! boo hiss.

re: the Nov 5th event, it will be somewhere in Minnesota. (is that close enough to michigan?)

as for any cities they are not going, please blame the publicists. i'm sure they know their business better than anyone else does, but i agree that some *different* large cities would be nice for a change! i guess you different-large-cities people will have to work on starting up a new independent bookstore that works closely with publishers to put on great events that will make the publicists want to sent authors back again and again. :)

still no strumpeting in ohio, but i'll definitely watch craig ferguson on the 3rd.

Tinkerbell, I was with the large group in NYC at B & N for what I thought I remembered was the first book, but may have been the 2nd. We presented Dave with a cooler of beer and a box of oosiks. We may not have officially met, but I remember you!! ;)

Oh please, please, PLEASE finalize the Vroman's appearance ! That's my favorite bookstore, and I am ALWAYS there !!
That would be in Pasadena, CA ! YAY for us !

Woo-hoo! A DC appearance. Oddly, the linked Politics and Prose page just offers to sell the book but doesn't actually admit they're appearing much less say when. I've dropped them an email.

And here's hoping it's pretty late in the day. Just remembered that I have to drive back from a conference in Virginia Beach that afternoon; probably won't get home til 5:30 at best.

I guess I'm going to have to be "ware" since I, too, cannot go tomorrow night. Ima be in Key West, probably drunk and hopefully (for everyone's sake) not much more than half-naked.

Last time I was in Key West, I bought one of Dave's books at a musty old bookstore. It was in the "Gay Lifestyle" section. NTTAWWT.

^5 for Telecom - see you at Vroman's! (It's one of my favorite independent booksellers also.)

I note mounting excitement for the juggernaut that is the Ridley and Dave Heckbent For Pleather Tour. Anderson's already has a display in the window!
