WE CAN QUIT ANY TIME WE WANT

(Thanks to Allen at Division)

We can quit anytime we want...

says the guy who was twitching for 18 months during the lost season.

We can quit any time we want...

And the writers over the past couple of years are doing their damnedest to help us!

:-þ

Apparently, nobody ever watched television before 2000.

Excuse me, but Doctor Who [the first sci-fi program(me) to feature recurring characters] was on from November of 1963. Back when JFK, CSLewis, and Aldous Huxley were still alive. And this new Welsh-Canadian version doesn't really cut it.

I like all the versions of Doctor Who--well, except Colin Baker, and that was really the writers' fault.

But I voted for "24" and Jack Bauer shot me in the thigh anyway...

The new season of 24 doesn't start until January, 2010?? We have to wait 6 more months? I demand to speak with the man in charge! I also can quit anytime I want.

Home Improvement didn't make the top 10?

The wonderful World of Disney
Smothers Brothers
Laugh In
MASH

just sayin . . . .

NotSherly,

Good choices! Also:

Gunsmoke
Bonanza
The Tonight Show (with Johnny Carson, the only King of late night...)

Aren't we the geezers, frodo.

I'm shocked that no one has mentioned Star Trek. No Trekkies out there?

Oh definitely yes, Star Trek.

I can quit anytime.....well, anytime AFTER the writers resolve all the Chinese plot lines and AFTER they kill off Audrey. Yes, I can quit anytime.

There ya' go, nursecindy, upstaging me (AGAINNNN!!!) Forgot Star Trek... Personal favorite was "Combat," (Vic Morrow, Rick Jason...) but that probably doesn't make the list... "Rat Patrol" would probably win out, but I'm talking personal favs...

Oh, and yes, NotSherly, I've got a lifetime pass on the geezer bus...

OK, so Doctor Who debuted on 23rd November, and that lot died on the 22nd. I sit corrected.

Back in the '90s, the top-rated syndicated shows were the various flavors of Star Trek, and...Babewatch Boobwatch Buttwatch Baywatch.

Frodo: it was the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson ; it didn't become with until Leno.

Hey! Where're all the C-Span loyalists??

Geezer alert: Disneyland (1950's show, not the park).
Davee, Davee Crockett....

Hmmmmm...wasn't there a show a few years ago about a certain humor columnist????? My personal favorite.

A-Team, Knight Rider, oops. 24, yeah, 24. ZZZZZZZ
