I LOVED the mesones of Madrid! They're like caves with tons of sangria and beer. Here's a photo of the inside of one. The only problem is getting lost in there, but that can be fun too.

Annie, there are a lot of "tapas" places here in Miami. Some look like those Mesones. My favorite is one called (IANMTU)"El Carajo". It has walls lined with wine bottles and you get to pick your own, sit and order tapas. So when we go, we say..."Vamos para EL Carajo" (rough translation - let's go to hell)
