THE LAND DOWN UNDER

Queenstowner Mark Ferguson, 42, turned heads and dropped jaws when he turned up to the underwear raceday wearing just carpet slippers and a pair of tiny white underpants which he shared with inflatable friend "Brian".

(Thanks to Bill Moore)

Why "Brian"? Why not "Buddy"?

This just in??

NTTAWWT

Brian???

STay classy, dude.

No relation.

"At almost any other time, or in any other place, he would have faced the prospect of arrest and a padded cell."

ALMOST any other time? They have knowledge of other such circumstances? Better keep the blog running.

I may or may not have pulled a similar stunt during my time at Sam Houston State. Thankfully, there are no pics to prove it.

Speaking of Fergusons.... Judi - we (and about one million of our closest friends) are gonna hang out w/ Craig Ferguson this Friday & Saturday in Boston!
Going down for the weekend Independence festivities - will tell Craig you say "Hi!" (Shall I pinch his, um, cheeks for you?)

*jumps on Punkin* Happy Birthday!!!! Have a great time!!!

Who among us has not had this experience at one time or another?

Why does Judy want to meet Larry Craig? I'm pretty sure she's not his type.

So, how did he avoid a wardrobe malfunction due to "...the rapidly deflating Brian..."? Surely the waistband didn't contract enough.

*THUD*

Glad to see you, too, BFF! Thanks for the B-Day wishes, but those spankings were a little rough - think next time you could put down the machete?

I have a feeling that the Inflatable Brian is the only thing that will be keeping him warm, IYKWIM.
Happy Birthday Punkin. Pinch Craig for me also please.

Happy Birthday to Her Royal Punkinship.

As for Mr. Ferguson (the New Zealander, not the Scot), his fame will surely be brief.

OT

RIP Karl Malden.

Mr. Malden was a very respectable actor and a supremely likeable guy. I remember how my German grandmother, who spoke all of seven words in English, would watch The Streets of San Francisco religiously because of him, and would shout "Knollernase!", which loosely translates to "wrinklenose" when his Amex commercials came on.

Finally, there's a viable market for sport carpet slippers! At the very least I expect to see sport blow-up dolls very soon.

This is your Brian.

This is your Brian on Mark.

Happy Birthday, Punkin Poo!!! Please tell Craig Ferguson that he left his toothbrush at my place. Again.

Happy Birthday Punkin Poo! Will be in touch about a July visit to your area..

Maybe he lost because he was lightheaded from blowing up Brian.

Wait? Who blew Brian? I thought he was rapidly deflating which could mean...okay, there's a leak.

Really, men running around in underpants. I'd expect judi to be reporting live on scene. Whats the world coming to when she has to resort to depending on the Internets? Sorry judi.

Mark And His Rapidly-Deflating Brain. These things happen. Fortunately, a long way from here.

Anybody else have trouble reading it as Queenstown?

And Rick, no doubt you're a legend all the way from Crabbs Prairie to Tomball. ;-)

Excuse me - EIGHT HOURS and NO one made a notation that this occurred in QUEENSTOWN?! Y'all are losing your touch.

I stand corrected - TEN hours.

Be fair to Judi. She may not have noticed this item due to the fact there were also women in underwear running the same course. Oddly enough, we weren't shown Brian on the TV news but we did get a good eyeful of the other contestants, including one very attractive young lady who realised after starting that a strapless bra was not ideal for the run, and so she had to run and go through the obstacles with one hand ensuring the bra stayed up.

And a quick plug - the snow at Queenstown (named for Queen Victoria) is great - the Undy 500 run was part of the opening of the ski season here. Ross

Ball Sack Race?

I know I'm detracting from TVhe DeIflatAinGg BrRiaAn™, but can anyone (it's filtered here) find video of the Buttman and Throbin glider / parachute act?

*rubs eyes*

Marvin?

Long time no blog, dude! How the heck are you?

LTTG: Happy belated birthday Punkin. Enjoy the Pops and the Craig this w/e. And, Go Sox. I'll be at the game on Friday.

Anybody else have trouble reading it as Queenstown?

Nope. Just our visibility.

Not that I'm complaining, mind. It's better than chopped deader. And I am pleased beyond measure to see that you wrote your and not you're.

;-)

Maybe this is the same guy who sent me the threatening letter demanding $70,000. If that's the case, I'll have to forgive him. He obviously has no wardrobe.
