In a double feature wih Espeedy Gonzales, brought to you by the Frito Bandito!

...and the rooster says kookoorookoo.

But my favorite is the gun. It doesn't say bang; it says cataPLUM!!!

For the first time in 15 years some dumbass a guy was gored to death at the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, so be careful out there, Dave!

/end warning

In American cartoons, we had our stereotype with Speed Gonzalez. In Spain, to get back at us, they have a fat bald guy who drinks all the time, is a moron and helps run a nuclear power plant.

Heyyyyyy....wait a minute....

I was in Paris a long time ago, waiting for the next surrender, and was scrolling through TV channels one morning. I will never forget how much I laughed watching Porky Pig stutter in French. My daughter was beyond hysterical.

Vive Mel Blanc!

Is that the Road Runner or is it Woody Woodpecker??

road runner, steve.
is acme still acme?

Bip Bip? Roadrunner subtitle.

And he's called The Running Path.

Si si!

crossgirl - "el" acme.

Ja, ja, ja!
(Get the salad guard out - I'm laughing en Espanol.)

For some reason, I'm wanting to sing the name of that atraccion to the opening of the "Green Acres" theme.

Correcaminos -- bip bip!

And Porky Pig says "Thaths all folkths" in Spain too.

Down in Miami he's called "El Runner de Calle Ocho".

What did you expect him to say? "Bip bip" in Spanish is pronounced "beep beep."

scoop - i had the same reaction!

I also.

And in the USA, the Roadrunner says:

Meep meep

But people always get that wrong and think they are beeps.

I believe that acme was about to go under but then it received a government bailout so it's okay now thank goodness.

( sigh ) There's no end to the interesting stuff you can learn here.
