Does it make me an aquarium geek if I knew that was a plecostomus before I clicked on the link?

Robo-fish?

yes mam,
the fish ate my homework,
no mam,
i don't often spend time alone
down by the canal
looking for suffering mutated beasts,
no mam,
it's not for sale
i plan to throw it at
george bush next time
he's posing with blair

Ben in Cambridge (in the Daily Maily comments):

"it is unlikely it has migrated here" - Yeah, pretty unlikely, but if it had clung onto the back of a Turtle it might have made it on its own.

Another possibility is its reverse evolution. Lancastrians are sliding back into the water due to the adverse grim conditions.

LMAO!

Yikes.

We're gonna need more tartar sauce.

Some "plecos" can look even creepier.

Release them in the Potomic. Couldn't hurt.

Layzeeboy
It's laying on a 6X6. So it's not that big.

Need chips, really big chips. and lost of malt vinegar.

Dave,

Don't look now, but you've got them in Florida, too.

If this thing is only 10" what the hell kind of lens did they use to photograph it, a Hubble zoom?

Boy George never shoulda let those forgers use his picture. NOW look at the mess he's in.

Looks good since he lost weight, though.

Armoured Suckermouths WBAGNFARB

blanky, that's already the name for Kiss's groupies.

I thought the photo caption said Bonermouth.

*checks contacts*

We will . . .

... his father Alan, 45, a service engineer, and his mother Helen, 41, who runs a balloon shop

A balloon shop? (not shoppe) Service engineer?

At first, I thought that was an Amy Winehouse publicity still.

What is the difference between an armored, suckermouth catfish and a lawyer?

One is a scaly, lowlife, bottom feeding cretin and the other is an armor plated fish.

And just so's you know, the correct pronunciation of that place is like our American "Listerine." Say it that way and people will be impressed at your erudition.

@Clankazoid: The tip off was the difference in eye makeup.

1 fish
2 fish
read fish
blew chunks.

sweep! sweep! sweep! sweep! sweep! sweep! sweep! sweep!

Towpath -- toe-path ... ???

Jeezely ... the Brits can't even spell the same way twice, in their own country ...

Ha ha Annie.

Cheesewiz, I thought that fish was monsterous in deminsions based on the detail of the photo thus making that chopping block part of the biggest tree in the universe. I even thought the tent looking thingy in the back ground was a Jeep top. Then I read the fish was only 10 inches long.

They got me all worked up those gits.

Yeah, well, I may not be an aquarium geek, but I'm some kinda down-home Amurican geek, cuz I took one look and thought "All the armor in the world can't disguise a catfish."
