Funky? As in chicken?
Posted by: Cheryl Howard | October 26, 2008 at 03:48 PM
No, funky as in someone's deodorant has failed at the worst possible time. I'm thinking it's the guy in the red and white striped shirt.

Looks more reggae then funk. Movement of Jah people?

Fortunately the clues led me to the Hoffbrau House Oktober Fest beer tent in the park...yes, I took a wrong turn somewhere...but after a gallon stein of beer I feel much better about my intellectual inadequacy and inability to get any of the hints figured out. Well, maybe we did...the King, Bling, Fling was easy enough, and maybe we got something about the "lay lady lay" and "pulling the wool" part...but I'm totally confused, yet utterly comforted by this enormous beer that I am almost through. Look forward to next year's hunt!

Funky as in play that funky music white boy?

Ack!
*swaps "a" for "e" up there in what was supposed to be "than"*
(Honest, I'm not one of those idiots who doesn't know the difference.)

A stunning hunt.

A punning stunt?
Posted by: WriterDude | October 26, 2008 at 06:02 PM
Punch and Writer reminded me of an old joke.
What's the difference between a front row seat at the circus and a front row seat at a chorus line show?
One is a cunning array of stunts.

Waldo? Where?
Posted by: ScottMGS | October 26, 2008 at 08:14 PM
I happen to know the whereabouts of the other bloglits, so I get to be first.
maybe.
We volunteers were slightly less confused than the Hunters. Dave and Tom had managed to come up with such clever puzzles and solutions, that they announced a winner before they had one. Everyone had to go Hunting again.
Oh-uh, judi is home and working.
The Herald crew are a fine bunch of people to work with. It was fun. I think I can make the Post Hunt in DC this year too.
Now I am off to bed.

Jan is the new Waldo.

How many "you"s in funky?? If we could learn to count, we could have saved us an hour!
Posted by: Antonio | October 26, 2008 at 11:53 PM
I just want to once again thank Dave, Tom, and the whole gang for a great hunt this year. And, personally, I disagree with the comments many made that this hunt was too difficult. Our team solved all five of the first puzzles, solved the flush puzzle, even knew to count the "u"s. The only screw-up we wound up having was not having the basic ability of counting correctly...otherwise, we would have been at the finish line 45 minutes before they gave everybody the earlier clues. Our eternal shame, that personal kicking-one's-self-in-the-butt self-recrimination darn-it-we-should'a-could'a-would'a state of being, will last for the next 52 weeks until the next Herald Hunt comes along. But this hunt was VERY, VERY doable. A great job to all the designers of the hunt. Thanks a lot!
