re: 2nd story - those were not chimney swifts. They were chimney not-so-swifts.

Hey, this is really creepy. We had one bird get into our house on two occasions. (Still have not figured out how -- no, not the chimney, no, not the dryer vent, no, no, no.) We came home the first time to find a similar scene. The destruction it caused, evidently trying to alternately attack and escape from our dog, was phenomenal.
Unfortunately, the majority of the birdy-doo and the bloody window were in the baby nursery. Every square inch. I could never figure out how once bird could cr@p so much.
Ick, ick, eew, eew. We bought disinfectant by the gallon drum.

From the YT comments this is apparently an ongoing problem the fellow has (explaining how he knew having an active video camera would be worthwhile). Apparently that bird is a gander that's decided the boat is its mate.
It's not so farfetched. I know some guys for whom a boat is an extension of their manhood. This is just taking it one step further.

They're gonna need a bigger dog.

Those damned geese are vicious! They're protected, but there are hundreds of thousands of them here in Indy. The videographer should have been shooting it with the Police Chief Special.

I foresee a tasty roast goose dinner at that guy's house pretty soon.
