GIVE THE DRUMMER SOME

This guy is wonderful.

(Thanks to Siouxie)

Yum. Kamikazeeeeeeee. Thanks!

It's a bell curve thing. A handful of great parents, a handful of horrible ones, and the varying levels of apathy to slight interest in between. Spring Break fortified me for the end-of-nine-weeks' fight.

Speakin' of naked cowboys, I gotta run, but JD - excellent job as usual. A friend of mine has a version of that song that goes, "Mamas don't let your cowboys grow up to be babies." Truer words were never said. Have a good night, everyone!

Gracias, Med! I'll be needing that Zanax too. It's supposed to be a costume party. "Famous People". Kristen's dressing up as Amy Winecrackhouse. She's got the hairdo and make up down to a T.

LMAO great song and very true for some cowdudes. Have a great time two-steppin'!!!

El and I want details in the morning!

Med--I'd rather the overkill than the other direction. Heck, I can respond to an e-mail in less than a minute, complete with an attachment of current grades. The big problem this year is that I didn't start the school year, so I don't have all the e-mail addresses I need. I've been going crazy trying to get them. I can e-mail pretty much any time during the day. Phone calls? They're a little more complicated.

Okay. I'm driving to somewhere near Virginia Tech tomorrow to visit friends. I'll talk to you folks later. I have cute kitty pictures and a Spring Break update on my blog, if you want to check it out.

Good night!

Thanks, all. I keep having to flap away! Med, my sympathies to you, too.

Have fun, Annie!

Niters, Auntie!! *smooch* and sweet dreams.

*crickets chirping*

Guess it's time to say nite nite. Long day mañana.

*leaves blog bar keys under Wyo's cowboy hat*

Auntie M, my kids' teachers and principals thank me profusely every time I see them. I don't get it.... I'm a single MOM, financially struggling. I'm not the room mother, nor do I have the means or time to volunteer or send goodies every other day. (FTR, I do throw a pizza party luncheon for the kids' birthday, which is a blast and a treat. Seems to be more memorable than the expected party days)

I also stay on top of their performance, ask questions, enforce the rules at school and even more so at home, and make it a point to stay informed and keep in touch. Isn't that my JOB? Apparently, there are wayyyyyyy too many folks that don't take the most important job they ever have in their whole entire life, their living legacy on earth, seriously. SERIOUSLY.

I don't wanna leave behind A-Bombs as the sole testament and effigy of my life, my love and my parenting. Not to mention, imparting the skills to survive, to succeed, to contribute, and to make a frickin' difference to the people I love most and am invested in.... in this wacky world is what the ultimate goal is.

DUH

^ THAT IS

Sorry. Didn't mean to go off on a CJ tangent. (I love those and he is the bestest...... )

Leave it to AWBH to be correct. A point was made that this is Alcohol Appreciation Awareness Weekend and here we were boozing it up in celebration.

Gee. I go off for a while to mourn the Yankees (tyvm, Med!) and now I'm back and everyone's leaving - sheesh.

Hi jug.
Great song as usual, JD.

Just remember, Auntie M, Children Are Our Future. Siouxie told me. :)

Good luck tomorrow, Siouxie. You can do this. :)

*zips out*

El, love you. love your show. fascinated by cute guy.

Sioux is c0cked and loaded, and she will not only do it, she will enlighten those teen agers about Z@ppos.com and the importance of footwear, in preparation for alcohol awareness and abstinence.

cyber hug to CG. So sorry about your pooch.

How the hell old is Grandpaw/Wyo again?

And my hats off the the fabulous Ducky, who should be a professional. Song Writer that is.

*flaps back in for a moment*

Thanks, El & Cheryl (*snork* @CH). I keep flapping in when everyone's gone! Grrrr.

Cheryl, re your question about Wyo: In dog years?

*turns off light, wipes down blog bar, sets timer on coffeemaker, sweeps dog hairs off couch*

Nighty-night, y'all! Sweet dreams!

*quietly puts Scat Matt™ on blog sofa. Sets switch to High.* Tries to remember NOT to sit on sofa in the a.m. before removing.

Siouxie, Happy Birthday to your daughter! And *snork* at the Winehouse thing. It could have been worse...don't ask me how!

Dang, I'm tired.

OUCH!! Who put the ScatMat&trade on the couch? Cheryl?

I guess I'll just have to go on to bed. I like overnight shifts, but they are weird.

Nytol!

*sneaks ScatMat™ off couch and puts it on the floor behind the blogbar*

clarification: my old stinky dog is distressingly alive and reasonably well. i suppose on that front, condolences are in order.

Morning!!

Thanks, El, Med & Jeff. I'll try to keep my sanity by consuming vast amounts of alcohol (which will NOT be available to the underagers). Mama's got the key to the booze cabinet!

*zips in*™

Good morning all.

Siouxie, what time does the hysterical madness lovely party start?

Morning Siouxie! How's the weather in so.fla? It's overcast in so.ca.

Hi to you too, Eleanor.

Good luck with the party, Siouxie. Actually, it sounds like fun, to me. But then I spend weekends with big groups of teens who drink too much caffeine and stay up too late.

Morning El & Scott (yay for cg's stinky but very much alive dog). Party starts at 7ish so I have plenty of time to get ready for it ;-P

morning, Scott. Are you as tired as I am of this cold weather?

(answering Scott's ?)

It's supposed to be in the mid-80s today with rain forecast for this afternoon/evening.

I don't know about you, Siouxie, but this has been the hottest, wettest winter I've ever seen in SoFla, and I've been here since '84. I miss our cool, dry winters.

I'm sure I'd be tired of cold and rain, El, if we'd had very much.

Yes, El, but the afternoons have been nice. I could do with less chilly and more sunny.

daisy, I've been watching a tennis tourney in Key Biscayne all week and they've been complaining about the heat and the humidity non-stop. And have even had to take heat breaks so the players don't pass out on the court.

Scott and I live in su.so.ca., and we don't get much rain, but it's supposed to be warm. Today's expected high(!) is 61F!!!!

*shiver*

I, for one, would welcome a few days of 61F.

Hot & wet here is brutal. One of the reason people like gyms, or play golf & tennis at 7 a.m.

We do have it good, here, though. We get humid when it's cool and dry when it's hot.

daisy, it's been horrible here. I miss a few more cooler days.
