El, I don't know what your point is, but no, I've never "lived" in the US. I've spent a total of 4 months there mostly in the Denver area including Vail up in the mountains. I've been to NY twice, LA twice, San Diego, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Cincinnati, driven through large areas of Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. My daughter has lived in Colorado for 8 years and I do get a lot of news from her as well as all the news services on my satellite feed, so I do feel that I'm qualified to make observations about the country.

Obviously, only citizens should do the actual voting, but there are some astute people beyond our borders too. What they know of the goods and the ills in their parts of the world could be helpful to America as well, and outside perspectives are important. They may be right or they may be wrong, but they should still be heard, IMHO.
