Is that Meowrilyn Monroe on the left?
(Psst, judi, aren't you working awfully late?)

The descriptive level necessary to produce some of those sentences about a cat-wig kinda disturbs me.
Posted by: Federal Duck | December 03, 2007 at 11:33 PM
It finally happened! The ducks simul'd! I don't know what that says about chance and fate and the like, but it's probably not good.

My colors are not bashful and brazen: they are blush and bashful... two soft shades of pink, Mama!

Is it just me, or does that cat look like it is abou to pounce on the owner's face?
Posted by: Edgar Greenberg | December 03, 2007 at 11:40 PM
I just combed out my 2 persians. Plenty of fur to make a wig. Maybe a sweater? I love em, no matter what.

Sheesh, I don't have a clue why the double post happened. Forgive me.
Posted by: foggiest notion | December 03, 2007 at 11:47 PM
^5, FD! Was it good for you?
Posted by: Just Ducky | December 03, 2007 at 11:52 PM
Cats *are* the reason. Mine is trying to crawl on top of my laptop.
Posted by: daisymae | December 03, 2007 at 11:53 PM
My rescue kitten Lucky (boy was she!) is snoozing next to me with her purr box set on 'Mack Truck'. Putting a wig on her would be like bronzing a gold medal.
Posted by: fivver | December 03, 2007 at 11:55 PM
foggiest, it happens to us all. I blame Al Gore.
daisymae and fivver, I miss my kitties. fivver, good point, not to mention she'd probably rip you to shreds.
Posted by: Just Ducky | December 04, 2007 at 12:01 AM
Nah, it seems her full time job right now is undecorating the Christmas tree.
Posted by: fivver | December 04, 2007 at 12:09 AM
fivver, 'tis the season!
After the double-duck simul, I have to wonder if the space/time continuum is still intact. Which means it's time for me to flap off to bed.
Nighty-night, y'all. Sweet dreams!

*Makes mental note to get wig for Sio's kitten.*
*Hope Sio can't read mental notes. It would ruin the surprise.*

Those cats are just plain freaky.

What's with the duck feathers everywhere?
Posted by: slyeyes | December 04, 2007 at 12:53 AM
*snork* at you all. I finally moved a blankie in here on the desk, so number one kitty can sit here and grab my arm. Thank goodness they are grown. I'd fogotten about the undecorating trees. We used to have the strangest looking trees; no decorations below cat reach.
*worries a bit about the space/time continuum*
Good night to the Ducks.

My fat, black and fairly free-willed cat would have me in shreds if I tried that. Right now he is completely engrossed in Tin Man on SciFi. I wanted to see it from the begining...his Highness wants to see it NOW!
My husband once put said fat cat into a harness and leash, so they could go for "a walk"...as amusing as this was, I didn't think either would get over the trauma. The cat is strictly indoors again. The husband is still in recovery.

My girl-cat would have a wonderful time tearing that wig to shreds...

Wow, igloo, great breakfast! The smell woke me up all the way in the northeast. I'm a Christmas celebrant, but we also partake with friends of Hannukah tradition.
*Adds apple sauce to blog bar*

*sigh* no bacon.
can' decide if pink or electric blue will go better with a tuxedo cat. not to be confused with a tancredo cat which would be an entirely different color.

if i had ever tried a wig on any of the kitties who ever lived with me, i wouldnt be able to type for the shredded hands. those people should be arrested for cruelty to animals.
happy channukkah.....

OMG I'm back!! My ISP (bellcrap) was down last night and I couldn't get online!!! All better now after I spoke with...get this.."Ashu" from the Linksys tech support. I almost called him "Abu". He helped though.

I'm gonna get one for my youngest (1 year) cat, Miles....I'll have Ms. Jazzzz post my obit here.
Posted by: Jazzzz | December 04, 2007 at 07:50 AM
I just got a kitty as my early b-day gift. She's all white except for a little gray smudge on her forehead. Haven't named her yet. And I won't be putting a wig on her. Ever.
I may, however, crochet her a little sweater since she's only 9 weeks old and has no one to snuggle with. Her fur is really thin just yet. My lab is tolerating her, but not keen on physical contact. :)

Hey, Igloo, is that Hebrew? Very cool! Happy Hanukkah, all!
Posted by: daisymae | December 04, 2007 at 07:56 AM
We're having a cold front here in SoFLa (lows tonight in the 50s, brrrr!). Boom is snuggled next to me purring.
Posted by: daisymae | December 04, 2007 at 07:59 AM
Gesundheit, Siouxie.
My two cats have a sort of mousy brown color, and they like it that way. *Cat hairflip*

Happy Chanukah!
Siouxie, I wrote a couple posts back on how to tell if your new baby kitty is a boy or girl. (On the thread where you were telling us about him/her/it.)
Noob, I once had a houseful of kitties that looked like that. Mama was white w/ grey headspot. Daddy is an all black long hair. All 3 babies (all girls) looked like Mama. We had to tell them apart by their headspots.
Posted by: gjd | December 04, 2007 at 08:08 AM
Oh my, DavCat. That is one unhappy looking kitty.
Posted by: gjd | December 04, 2007 at 08:09 AM
I still have the previously mentioned black longhair. My oldest son got a cat for his 9th b-day. She is a very "big-boned" tortoise shell coloured short hair.

I called Liz from work yesterday morning, and she said "something is wrong with Miles". I immediately panicked and ask what. The reply : He's being nice!

Here are two more cats celebrating...
Hanukkah cat #2
Hanukkah cat #3
Posted by: DavCat | December 04, 2007 at 08:17 AM
Is he normally kind of blue, Jazzzz?
Posted by: Meanie the Blue | December 04, 2007 at 08:20 AM
*snork* Meanie ! No, but he does leave us kinda blue (and black)... he's in the terrorist phase
Posted by: Jazzzz | December 04, 2007 at 08:24 AM
My cat, Woodgie, is not a cuddly cat. She's sitting on the corner of my desk, wondering why in the world I am cackling like a maniac (love those Hanukkah Cats). She'll let me scruff her ears a bit and will give me her paw, but
expectsdemands a treat as a reward for doing so. She will give you her paw if you put yours out, but only so many times before the demand part sets in...Posted by: Kathybear | December 04, 2007 at 11:36 AM
My older cat is now saying, why didn't you put this blanket on the desk a year ago? It's her new favorite spot to hang out.
Posted by: NotSoShyJan | December 04, 2007 at 12:28 PM
I used to have a Siamese mix who I could put a leash on. She was supposed to be indoors-only, but she *really* wanted to go outside, so I'd put the harness and leash on her and let her walk around in the yard, roll on the sidewalk, and eat the grass. She was actually very good. On the other hand, I never really tried to "walk" her. I just followed her around.
