perhaps the burglars were a little smashed?
Posted by: Nookee | October 23, 2007 at 03:03 PM
They were fined an additional $2 because as Wells Fargo accountholders, they were robbing an out-of-network ATM.

Would you like a receipt for this transaction?

I like it when they taunt dumb crooks. This is from a local paper - "Vandals scrawled misspelled graffiti on the retaining wall of a new housing track at the intersection of Los Angeles Avenue and Millard Street."
Maybe they'll make them stay after gangsta school and scrawl it 50 times on a
chalkboardwall.Posted by: Annie Where-but-here | October 23, 2007 at 03:13 PM
So was that an article or a transcription?

Serves Bank of America right. Those idiots lost 2 of my paycheck deposits in 3 months when I banked with them. Both times it was the same teller who screwed it up. Needless to say I closed my account and switched banks.

Annie, it doesn't count as a very good taunt if the paper doesn't spell 'tract' correctly. *texts AWBH an asbestos force field*

And no, I'm not bitter. Nor do I own a front end loader. But if I did....

Aw, Doc. Trust me, Commerce Bank is MUCH worse. I need a credit union instead.
Posted by: DeskDiva | October 23, 2007 at 03:25 PM
Rick, if you want, I can arrange a little
break-inwithdrawal. I know people that know people...*calls Tio Pepe's construction company"

First to say, "Oops!"

CJ - I know. But it's the thought that counts.
Doc - you're supposed to steal the equipment, not buy it. Sheesh.

Overheard by 2 guys walkng away from scene...
"Number one, I did too say 'REVERSE'! Number two, if you hadn't taken the stupid Viagra, you would have heard me!!!"

We had some smarties like that here, too. Apparent satanists who wrote "Satin is God". I guess they could have just been fond of slippery sheets.

I went to go use an ATM kiosk in the mall where I worked one day and found it to be gone.
Yep, gone.
Nothing there, just a spot where it used to be, gone.
I found out later the same afternoon that a couple of guys had just come in dressed as workmen and simply wheeled the thing away like it was a washer from Sears or something.
Amazing what stupid as stunt will actually work,
I don't think they ever caught the guys who 'shoplifted' the ATM from the mall...
As most perpertrators of this kind of crime are caught by a trail left when they spend the money,
the bulldozer bandits have made the cleanest get away yet-
they don't have any money to spend!
They could just be the criminal masterminds of the century...
