Can this be viewed online? I don't see a link on their web page.

Where be all the other wenches? It's lonely here on the poop deck.

no, i don't believe it can be viewed online LIVE, though iirc, it might be up later.

Cheryl, the second link will tell you what you need to know. :)

consuming mass quantities of caffeine is required before attempting to blog. once the caffeine hits, we will be all over this.

They must be curled up in front of their TVs waiting with great anticipation.

Ahhh ... thanks for info, Wench Judi. Doubt I'll be sailin' into the city by sundown, but I'm sure it will be fun. So Dave's appearance is in the 9:00 hour? I'm all over that.

Today show is on. BTW, Fox and Friends led off with TLAP Day.

BUTT PANTIES? WTF?

Yarr, my pirate's heart is breaking and my timbers be shiverin', Denver isn't on the list of tour dates!

Dagnab it!

Oh wait, that's for Talk Like a 1860's Prospector Day . . .

Ahoy, blogmateys! 'Tis a fine morning to begin by watching ourrrr Dave on the Today Show! BTW, I wonder if Dave knows that his pirate name, depending on capitalization, would be one of these:

Cap'n Pete Ropeburn
Pirate Carl the Well-Tanned

That should have read, "Avast, me blog hearties!" Me poor birdbrain's still groggy...

Blast the scuppers of these scurvy work filters! But I'll be boardin' the decks of the cursed ship B@rnes & N0ble tonight, I will.

And, it goes without saying: arrrrr. (Who's got me parrot?)

cheryl - dave posted specifics yesterday... something's wrong with my monitor so i'm just going to suggest you go look for it, 'cause i can't find anything at the moment ;)

Cheryl, ye fulsome wench, see Cap'n Dave's next post. He's saying about 9:45.

Don't worry your pretty little head, Judi. Tell Cap'n Dave to buy you some new 'puter stuff.

And AHOY Meanie the Bluebeard! I'll miss ye tonight.

Oh, ye pirates are temptin' me so much! It's going to be such a buccaneer (sp?) bonanza.

Be ready to be hoisted off yer grubby office deck and swept onto the helm of the Black Blog, plunderin' Cheryl! Connecticut is no place fer a scalawagette such as yerself.

still waiting for Dave to appear on Today.

Avast! Dave be coming to Stamforrrrrrd, Connecticut in Febrrrruarrrry! Me ticket's on its way! Arrrre there any other Bloglits in those seas?

Meanie, I'll be sailin' into NYC meself tonight. I'll be the guy wearin' the blue shirt.

Layzee - you'll be me?

Meanie, you have to take your laptop and blog from the event!!

oh yeah...arrrrrrrrrrrr!!

I can blog from the event if they have wireless. Meanie, blue shirt and pirate patch.

Ok Layzee...do that!! YAY!

Well, Dave I saw your interview with Al Roker this morning. My husband and I both chuckled. Happy Pirate Day.

From what I learned on a tour of their current
building, and from various websites: One of the original
donors to build Trinity Church Wall Street [their
first, not 2nd or 3rd, building] was Captain
Kidd! They used his block and tackle to erect the
steeple.....

Arrr. I'm off today which means I don't get to talk like a pirate to anyone but the cat - and she doesn't appreciate it much except for the ARRRRs....

Arrr, mateys, I have a question about the books. I understand that part of the book is Dave's annual summary of the year. What else is in there?

I'm in NY but unfortunately won't be able to make it to B&N tonight. No pictures of Dave's blue shirt for me. :(

So Dave, how many people have written in to tell you that the First Millennium wasn't 1000 to 1999? (And how many of those said, "It's really 1001 to 2000!")

Here's hoping I can can get away in time to make it into DC by 700.

Oh, and according to that first link:

The ones he wrote between 2000 and 2006 are collected in “Dave Barry's History of the Millennium (So Far).”
That implied a mighty slim book, but fortunately the Foreword noted that that wasn't all it contained. Those scurvy dogs...
